• Network availability - bluetooth connectivity

  • Show user an example XML
  • Ask to write a simple test in XML
  • Use a very simple app
  • Make sure there are faults in application
  • Effectiveness - How many errors users pick up
  • 2 different applications for manual and Hermes
  • Use commercial applications
  • Have first group doing manual testing using Application A
  • Have second group doing Hermes testing using Application B
  • Then swap
  • Have about 10 people
• Download emulator package for PDA -> important to get PDA working with Hermes
• Think about using project money to buy a phone
• IMPT: Tests that don't work on emulator and do work on phone

Extensibility

• Different methods for different of kinds of checking
• MyChecker.java -> class that new users create to create a new kind of check
