Decisions

* Google Gears on client computers
* SQLite DB integrated with Google Gears for local caching of data
* Central DB server for all data
* Client computers can operate independently of the server and use their own version of the DB, synchronising their changes at a later time.
* Web based interfaces

• The above decisions have been superseded due to more information being found on Google Gears and how it can interact with a server DB. This does not suit our goals.
  • The next best alternative is to have all the components installed on a laptop in order for it to be used offline
