Discussion
- Documentation for EPICS and the deliverables etc is on the S: drive. We should check this out
- We have a 3rd year EngSci student willing to help out - Oliver?
- One task for him might be to take the techie stuff the SE students do and check it for sanity, also summarise and distil it down for the non techie folks
- SE students - have been researching technologies. Provisionally interested in Google Gears.
- Civil students - have been on 3 site visits to collect data, more planned, around one per week. Most buildings surveyed have failed the assessment very badly.
- The surveying of the buildings requires a lot of cross referencing to other standards and tables - it would be nice if these could be integrated into the final product as pop ups or links.
- The Wellington city council already has an interactive pdf document for recording the results of the building surveys. This was presented to us. It is not clear how they store or search these documents, so it seems like there will still be a need for system like our proposed one
Next meeting
- Monday 6th April, same room, 1pm
- Request for audio/visual/powerpoint presentations, to aid in all parties understanding.
- A summary of progress so far.
