Last session of SE250 for 08!

  • Started of by doing the course survey for SE250 for Mark Wilson
  • Email John Hamer the contributions to the HHTB you have made by today!
  • The maximum internal marks one can get is 30%, of which 15% is for contributions made to the HTTB.
  • Went over parts of the HTTB, the Big-O part of the course was quickly looked at and Mark suggested better labeling of the graphs,

something for quality control to do!

  • Amortized Time Analysis was only covered vaguely!
  • Discussion on the structure of the course, the validity of the HTTB and other coursework were questioned. An assignment was suggested in place of the HTTB.
  • Had a look at the first SE250 exam paper in the first year of SE
  • Question 13 seemed interesting to do
  • Went over the 2004 paper as well to see the different types of questions asked in the past, 2004 paper had a few mistakes in it.
  • Had a look at the jigsaw puzzle question! didnt make much sense...maybe the question was off a lab that year?!
  • Had a discussion about Google and why it was so successful, Google uses a link analysis among other complexities
