New page

==Meeting with Ian==

===Implementation===
* Provided an overview of the implementation over the week
** Application testing cannot be done on the PDA due to the different profiles being run from the one that we are using.
** Successfully incorporated motorola mobile devices for Hermes

* A good talking point in the report/conference paper is that when tests such as aesthetics and memory consumption are run on the various devices differences are picked up by the tool.
** Hence the focus of the project has now changed to say that everything can be tested, and that we test things that can be different with mobile devices.

===Evaluation===
*Survey Questions
**Should have structured questions as well as open questions.
***# How many defects did they find? What were they?
***# What they thought of Hermes?
***# Suggestions for improvements?

*Conducting the evaluation
**Give a brief introduction of the system/what the application does
**Show them the specifications for the system
***Demonstrate the XML
***Let them type the XML (after showing them an XML script that satisfies a requirement)
***Mention how many needed help

===Extensibility===
*For supporting a new kind of check the scenario of battery status may be a suitable discussion to satisfy this extensibility.
*Another extension point would be the sending of bytecode over bluetooth to support a new kind of action being incorporated in the Hermes test suite.

===Further work===
* Developing a plug-in/tool that forms a hierarchy of the forms and components using in a Java ME application.
