== Initial Ideas ==

We are brainstorming different ideas for our website. Right now we have three different designs:

* [http://studwww.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~rwan064/ Design 1]
* [http://studwww.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~sshi080/ Design 2]
* [http://studwww.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~srag014/ Design 3]

'''''NOTE:''' Only some of our initial ideas are up there.''

== Chosen Design ("Beta" version) ==

The design we chose to further develop into the final design.

=== Exegesis===
Basically the task was to digitialize the given poem by Emily Dickinon. The poem is basically
about a spider who goes to work on weaving his web in a household.The poem refers to the spider holding a
silver ball , which we intrepted as the spiders ability to weave webs and the yarn of pearl unwinding tells us that
as the spider gets to work how the ball begins to unwind. As the poem is read the background colour changes for each stanza (by pointing mouse to stanza),
we used a yellow/gold background for the first stanza as we felt it symbolizes the rich words used to describe the spider's web as it fits in well with the pearls and the silver ball.
The second stanza refers to the spider weaving his web from one end to another (ie from nought to nought), and the author refers to this as an unsubstantial trade which is true in a sense
because the spiders web is often destroyed and it seems a bit pointless. We used a blue background for this stanza as we felt it symbolizes the workman like attitude from the spider.
The last stanza is all about glory/death and life in general, the spider triumphant a moment the next moment dead. We used the colour red for the background because it symbolizes death and also
how life can be so cruel at times.
